Challenge

Amplify was tasked with developing, designing and producing the Australian Polestar 3 launch event in Sydney for media, customers and industry influencers.

Insight + Strategy

The event aimed to cement Polestar’s position as a leader in sustainable design in Australia via a premium and impactful showcase event experience. The ultimate goal was earned media attention for Polestar 3 and increased word of mouth within the target audiences, landing a story that captures both the excellence of the car, but also our wider sustainability ambitions and ‘new definitions of luxury’ points
of difference.

The event also had to provide opportunities to see the Polestar 3 up close, promote Polestar thought leadership and amplify other Polestar campaigns that required more Australian engagement, such as the Design Contest.

Solution

Polestar 3 Launch

The past met the future with the Australian launch of Polestar 3, taking place at Bar M, a historic and beautifully renovated former tyre factory in Darlinghurst.

The launch day commenced with a VIP lunch for 20 guests, with the vehicle providing a stunning backdrop. 240 guests including automotive media and Polestar customers and fans then joined for an evening event of presentations, self-guided discovery and cocktails and canapés.

Samantha Johnson, Head of Polestar Australia, and comedian and design enthusiast, Tim Ross kicked off the presentations, before Polestar Exterior Design Manager Nahum Escobedo provided first-hand insight into the evolution and future of Polestar design. Guests then had the opportunity to explore Polestar 3 at their own leisure to fully appreciate the innovative materials, smart technology and luxury design features. 

Guests could also explore an exhibition of Polestar Design Contest winners, including KOJA treehouse – an immersive, sustainable design for natural habitats.
