Amplify + Aperol invite Londoners to ‘Join the Joy’...
Continuing on Aperol’s upwards trajectory as one of the leading and most recognised alcohol brands in the UK, Amplify were tasked with levelling up the 2023 Aperidisco success to deliver increased brand advocacy and to continue educating consumers on the perfect serve through experience in 2024.
Aperol wanted another experience which delivered on its ‘Join the Joy’ campaign, bringing consumers together and playing into its core brand principle of contagious sociability and spontaneous fun, bringing the Italian spirit to life through UK cities and festivals.
With 99% positive consumer sentiment received on 2023’s Aperidisco, our initial approach was to build upon our Aperidisco foundation, bringing the Italian Spirit to life through a more contemporary Italian Discoteca theme.
To increase serve potential and increase consideration uplift, we knew we needed to level up with more owned city activations over a prolonged period in a northern location where consideration for Aperol is lower, alongside activating at festival activations to also deliver upon increased music affinity around the Aperol brand.
Building on the success of 2023, we set out to expand and evolve Aperidisco, aiming to make it bigger and better than ever. Strengthening Aperol’s alignment with music and expanding our reach beyond London to connect with a wider UK audience.
We transformed Aperidisco from a disco-centric venue into a joyful music destination, inspired by the sociability found in listening bars. Our modular space offered a unique environment for people to connect and socialise through music, becoming the go-to place to unwind with friends, dance, enjoy delicious food, and create lasting memories—all while sipping an Aperol Spritz.
We launched the summer with owened events at Battersea Power Station and the Liverpool Docks, before continuing our journey at Latitude and Forwards Festival, solidifying our presence in the music scene.
Collaborating with local DJs and collectives such as Voices Radio, Reece Davey, and Hun’s n Rose’s, we enhanced our music offerings and created a summer program filled with diverse sounds and experiences, including DJ mixing masterclasses and a karaoke content booth.
But it wasn't just about music. We offered a variety of joyful experiences, such as Disco beauty stations, customised Aperol merchandise, Disco Yoga, Aperol Spritz masterclasses, tasty tacos, Aperitivo snacks and even a big joy brunch for people to enjoy together, all paired with the perfect serve.
This modular approach allowed us to seamlessly transition between tempos, genres, and locations, curating an immersive celebration of joyful sounds and flavours for everyone to enjoy.
